"Did we not just break up?": Love is Blind star Madison recalls Alex requesting her to meet at the airport

Netflix's latest Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 11 aired on Friday, February 28, 2025. The episode featured Madison, Alex, and Mason joining the engaged participants during one of the segments. Other pod squad members, including Meg, Brittany, and Molly, joined the gathering.

Love is Blind fans must remember how things ended between Alex and Madison during the pods phase. Before that, Madison ended her connection with Mason, who approached Meg and confessed his feelings. However, Meg, at the time, also ended her connection with Mason.

Seeing fellow pod squad members arriving, Madison had a private conversation with Lauren. She recalled her first meeting with Alex:

"I get my phone back. The first message I get is from Alex. And he's like, 'Oh my f*cking God.' I think he just saw me and was like- - 'Meet me at the airport.' I kept being like, 'Did we not just break up?' He's like, 'At least just give me a hug.' And I was like, 'Fine.' We meet at the airport. The whole time, he was just like, 'Wow. You are so beautiful. Stay here with me in LA." I'm like, 'We just broke up.'"

Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 11: Madison reveals what happened when she met Alex after leaving the experiment

During the gathering, featured on Love is Blind's eleventh episode, Madison saw Alex arriving at the venue. Seeing him, she told Lauren about what happened after she left the experiment.

Madison told Lauren about receiving messages from Alex stating he wanted to meet her. They met at the airport after Alex insisted. When Alex told Madison to stay with him in LA, she asked, "Did we not just break up?"

She then recalled the reason and circumstances for her connection with Alex, which ended during the pods phase. Love is Blind star Madison told Lauren about her breakup with Alex:

"I was like, 'I can't promise that I won't have a bad day or that I won't be able to communicate all the time.' And he was like, 'Yeah. That's just not good enough for me.'"

Lauren was shocked and asked if she was "not allowed" to have bad days, to which Madison nodded yes.

Referring to how things didn't work out during the blind dates phase from the pods, Madison added:

"You know what? I put my all into those pods, and if it doesn't work then, like, it's not gonna work now. But I could tell he (Alex) was very much like, 'Let's make this work.' You know, we'd talk on the phone all the time."

Further, Madison revealed that Alex had told her about receiving Meg's messages. Meg didn't know that Alex and Madison had ended their connection at the time, so she sent Alex DMs.

Unaware of the situation, Lauren asked Madison if Meg was interested in Alex and how she missed it. Lauren recalled "the whole concept" between Mason and Meg.

Madison recalled when she asked Alex to share his "real take" on Mason:

"He (Alex) goes, 'F*ck Mason. *uck Mason.' I was like, 'But you didn't say that in the pods when the cameras were rolling. And that makes me lose respect for you.'"

Love is Blind star Madison added that she kept hearing "all those" things Alex had been saying about her and how she was "disgusted" by it. She also told Lauren that if Alex tried to talk to her, she (Madison) would tell him (Alex) that he was a "waste" of time.
